Kansas City’s Club KC will host its final installment this Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight.

To celebrate the final night of the program the City of Kansas City is hosting a “Sly’s Rock the Block” party for the entire family.

Club KC was launched earlier this summer to provide positive activities for youth in a safe environment. For eight weeks, the city provided a variety of activities every weekend for youth, which ranged from video game tournaments to dance contests to indoor soccer.

Saturday’s block party will be held on the Troost Avenue Bridge, between 47th Terrace and Volker Boulevard.

Family-friendly activities will be held throughout the day and will include face painting, inflatables, information booths and more. Free food will be served from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. while supplies last. In addition, “America’s Got Talent” finalists Maurice and Shanice Hayes and the Hearts of Darkness Band will perform.

Free parking will be available at the Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave., and at the Kauffman Foundation, 4801 Rockhill Rd.
