Thursday evening at approximately 5:55 pm KCPD officers were dispatched to the area of Windsor Avenue and Gladstone Boulevard on a call of an outside disturbance.

Upon arrival officers located one male victim who had severe lacerations on his forearms. Witnesses indicated that two male parties one who rode up on a motorcycle were fighting in the street. Both men were armed with machetes.

Witnesses indicated that one of the parties screamed, reacting to being struck with a machete. That victim fell down and the other party ran over to the motorcycle and began striking it repeatedly with his machete. The witness yelled to the suspect that police were en route and the suspect then fled on foot.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition. The other male suspect, described as tall and slender, race unknown is still at large.
