I’ve been listening to Donald Trump’s recent press conferences with a sense of déjà vu and sadness.

On February 26, 2020, President Trump predicted the number of U.S. Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases was “going very substantially down” to “close to zero.”

As of Sunday morning (March 15, 2020), there were over 3,200 cases and 68 deaths in the United States according to a Fox News article.

The President has been lying to us about numbers since his inauguration. This may be the moment that many of us feared would come.

Instead of competent leaders and science-driven experts, the country is being run by conspiracy theorists and a president who is an expert at Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Stupidity and dishonesty have a price. Too bad many of us will get stuck with the bill.
