Law enforcement activity at Chouteau Courts

There is currently law enforcement activity at Chouteau Courts near the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 24 Highway.

This is a training event being held by KCPD and the Department of Defense and is not an actual event that required the response of law enforcement.

In a recent press release, KCPD said it is a planned exercise and poses no threat to the public.

The Department of Defense, in conjunction with local and federal law enforcement, will be conducting training in and around the greater Kansas City area August 11-24. This is a planned exercise in cooperation with local authorities and is not in response to any current world events. The exercise is expected to have minimal impact to the public. To maintain the highest level of safety, there are no public viewing or media opportunities planned during this event. Our 911 call center has been given information about this training event, and they will relay this same message to callers if/when residents call to report activity associated with this training.
