KENNETH A. SHELTON

Kenneth A. Shelton, 68, of Northeast Kansas City, MO was born on July 20, 1950. He passed away Tuesday at NorthCare Hospice House after his battle with cancer.

Kenny worked for MCC for more than 20 years until retirement. He enjoyed his job and his coworkers. The MCC Penn Valley & MCC BTC staff had become part of the family over the years.

He is survived by brother Andrew Shelton of Northeast Kansas City, MO, daughter Amber Hayes (Doan) of Gladstone, MO, two handsome grandsons Christion Doan & Paul Hayes Jr. of Gladstone, MO, who were the light of his life, nephew Joe Shelton of Raytown, MO, niece Lindsey Dugan of Shawnee Mission, KS, his dog Booger, and many other relatives and friends.

Kenny is preceded in death by his mother Kathleen Shelton (Painter), sister Pamela Shelton and father Lloyd Shelton.

Kenny donated his body to science and will later be cremated, per his wishes. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the family’s residence (5615 NE Manor Dr. Gladstone, MO 64118) on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to any animal rescue organization would be appreciated.
