KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Kansas City, Mo., Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night in the Northeast area.

At around 10:20 p.m., officers were called to 110 N. White Ave., for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a victims suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he later died. Police are investigating the incident as a homicide. It is not yet known if the victim lived in the residence.

The victim has since been identified as Alfadil B. Sabil, 39. The KCPD have not yet released any suspect information.
