Jackson County COMBAT (Community Backed Anti-Drug Sales Tax) will host its final town hall meeting Wednesday, Oct. 24, to discuss prescription and over the counter drug abuse.

The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Medical Center, 201 NW R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs, Mo.

During the meeting, COMBAT staff will inform citizens about how to safely store prescription and over-the-counter drugs, as well as how to properly dispose of expired drugs. A panel of healthcare professionals and substance abuse experts will also speak about prescription and over-the-counter drug abuse.
