KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The Gringo Loco grocery store (3825 Independence Ave.) celebrated the expansion of its meat market with a ribbon cutting and open house event on Thursday, May 5; Cinco de Mayo. While the meat market expansion won’t open to the public until early June, Gringo Loco owner Alex Huynh offered attendees a sneak peak of the new, larger space. Representatives of the MU Extension campus were also present at the event as part of the Stock Healthy-Shop Healthy program, offering samples of healthy foods as well as healthy shopping tips.
