KANSAS CITY, Missouri — 
In honor of fallen Kansas City Missouri Firefighter John Mesh, the Kansas City Police will escort his family and friends from the site of his funeral mass to graveside services this afternoon, resulting in multiple road closures.

Police expect to begin the procession at about 12:30 p.m. from St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Road, Independence, Mo. The procession will travel from Independence west on I-70 to Kansas City, Mo., where it will pass by several fire stations in the Historic Northeast area on its way to Mount Olivet Cemetery at 7601 Blue Ridge Boulevard.
