Kansas City Fire crews responded to a house fire Monday afternoon on the 100 block of N. Oakley in Northeast Kansas City.

No one was hurt and the damage to the property is minor. The fire was contained to the upper back bedroom of the home.

Ken Swinney with KCFD said the residents kept the fire at bay with a water hose.

A resident across the street said this is the second time fire crews have had to be called to that address.
