East Bottoms Double Homicide

Tonight at approximately 8 p.m. officers were called to the area of Montgall and Guinotte Avenues on a sound of shots call. While they were in route the call was upgraded to a shooting.

Upon arrival officers located the bodies of two black males suffering from gunshot wounds in a silver vehicle parked on Guinotte Avenue.

Officers rendered Aid to the two victims, EMS arrived and declared both victims deceased at the scene. Crime scene detectives will be continuing to process the scene, anybody with any information in regards to this crime is urged to call the tips hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

This brings the homicide total for the year to 129 for the city and 23 for the Historic Northeast area of the city.
