FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11- Veterans Day at Liberty Memorial WWI Museum, public service honoring our military veterans begins at 10 am. Visit the Vietnam-era Bell UH-1 (Huey) helicopter on the museum grounds from 10 am to 5 pm. daily, Friday through Sunday. Free. Museum admission will be half-price all weekend, with free admission for veterans and active duty with ID.


THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17 – Calvary Temple Assembly of God at 5612 St. John Ave. invites everyone for a warming meal of chili, potato soup, cornbread and dessert from 6 to 8 p.m. Coats, hats, gloves and blankets will also be available. Free.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18 – St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 309 Benton Blvd. Bingo & Chili dinner in the St. Joseph Hall. Doors open at 4 pm and chili, hot dogs, chili dogs, popcorn and desserts will be available for purchase. Bingo ($6 for 3 cards) will begin at 6 pm.

December 8-11 – The Kansas City Museum announces the return of the Fairy Princess, for the 36th year, in the Museum’s Betty Milbank Waldrop Salon. Timed tickets are required, and are available for purchase for $10 in advance at kansascitymuseum.org. Each ticket includes: a visit with the Fairy Princess, one special gift, one sweet treat, one printed photo onsite, access to a website to buy additional prints and digital downloads by the photographer, and 10% off in Wisteria boutique.
