7/30: The Turpine Tyme Ragsters will bring Ragtime and Dixieland music to Friday in the Park at North Kansas City’s Festival Pavilion in Macken Park from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. All concerts are free and open to the public, and every event features a drawing for prizes donated by local businesses. 7/30: Kansas City Girls Prep will host a Volunteer Day from 11-3, and a Back-to-School BBQ from 3:30-5:30. Bring a friend!

8/20: Third Fridays 5-9 p.m., proXimity returns! This year, they plan to open multiple venues featuring local artists. Participating venues include: The 815 Gallery (815 E 5th) and Don Bosco Community Center (526 Campbell). All media and disciplines of creativity are encouraged: painting, drawing, photography, crafting, woodworking, sculpture, music, performance, whatever you do to express your creative self. Social protocols will be at the discretion of and posted by venue owners.
