City crews began prepping the intersection of St. John and Hardesty Dec. 12 for the installation of mast arm traffic signals.

Crews drilled holes along the intersection, filling it with concrete to support the weight of a mast arm.

Before installing the mast arms, the cement must dry out for approximately 10 to 12 days. A member of the city’s Public Works crew said the city plans to install the mast arms before the end of the year. The signals will flash red in all directions. Photos by Leslie Collins
