KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Along with encouraging healthy eating, the City Market will also soon encourage healthy living and wellness.

Head over to the City Market from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, and join multiple health organizations and businesses for a health and wellness fair. Participating organizations include the Kansas Drug Card Program, the University of Missouri – Kansas City’s Pharmacy and Patient Care Departments, Smiles Change Lives and the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department.

Families will be able to gather information on injury prevention, oral health for children, prescription drug card information, general immunizations, learn about community fitness centers and healthy eating. There will also be information on Medicare, antibiotic resistance and organ donation awareness. Guests will also be able to check their blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose levels.

This event is free to the public.
