Caroline M. Poje

Caroline M. Poje, 79 of Polo, MO entered eternal life June 21st, 2016 at Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO. Caroline entered this life February 24th, 1937 the daughter of Victor and Gladys Osuch Friday in Kansas City, Kansas. On September 7th, 1957 she was united in marriage to Donald Poje. She was a homemaker and worked for Montgomery Ward and AT&T.

Caroline was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hamilton, MO where she was also a member of the altar society. She was a member of the Polo American Legion Auxiliary Post #557 in Polo, MO, the Polo Community Betterment and volunteered at the Caldwell County Nutrition Center in Polo, MO. Caroline also volunteered for the Polo Volunteer Fire Department and was a professional volunteer helping anyone for 2 hours a day. She loved quilting, oil painting, gardening, country music, square dancing and the 40-acre farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and partner for 8 years Jim Rardon. Caroline leaves to mourn her passing daughter Victoria (Scott) Stark of Olathe, KS, daughter Nancy (Lee) Daniels of Kansas City, MO, daughter Karen Burnett of Wood Heights, MO, daughter Tina Poje of Polo, MO, daughter Michelle Poje of Kansas City, MO, son Brian (Vanessa) Poje of Spanaway, WA, son Edward (Melissa) Poje of Polo, MO, Sister Mark Friday of Leavenworth, KS, brother John (Janet) Friday of Eureka, KS, sister Patricia (Jim) Vochatzer of Kansas City, MO, and a brother William (Carol) Friday of Texas. Additional survivors include 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Memorial gifts are suggested to the Caldwell County Nutrition Center, the Polo Volunteer Fire Department or Bethel Cemetery in Memory of Caroline Poje. A Rosary was held Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hamilton, MO. A visitation was held at 10:00 AM Tuesday June 28th, 2016 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at the church. Catholic Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery south of Polo, MO.
