Richard R. “Rick” Rojas

KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Richard R. “Rick” Rojas, 54, Kansas City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from a tragic automobile accident.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5106 St. John Ave. Cremation to follow services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mable “Sissy” Rojas for the benefit of the children.

Rick was born May 25, 1961. His life was devoted to his wife, children and family. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring his beloved truck. “Rick may not have been rich and famous in the traditional sense…but he was rich in kindness, friends and family. He was famous to everyone whose life he ever touched.”

Rick was preceded in death by his father Julian Rojas; brother Mike Rojas; and in-laws Marvin and Mabel Jones. He leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Mable “Sissy” Rojas; and children, Rikki Evenson (Josh), Stephen, Tiffany, Joe, Julie and Lisa; his mother, Mikaela Rojas; sister and brother-in-law Julie and Joe Roadcap; nephew Bo Rojas; niece Mikaela Roadcap; great-niece Isabella; and great-nephew Julian; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
