Shortly after 8am a car broke through police barricades along today’s parade route which prompted a short chase.
Police deployed stop sticks but the vehicle proceeded south on Grand where it turned on Pershing Road.
Officers deployed a PIT maneuver spinning the vehicle to a stop where officers blocked the driver’s path of escape.
One arrest was made and the driver is being investigated for impairment.
No injuries were reported and the parade route has been secured.
