Book Description: Saturday is a vibrantly illustrated picture book that tells the story of a mother and daughter on their extra special Saturday, the only day they get to spend together. As each activity they planned goes wrong, the two “Whew-Let out a deep breath…” and learn to enjoy their time together in spite of mishaps.

Why did you choose this book? “I chose this book because I appreciate its loving portrayal of a mother-daughter relationship. Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate relationships to our past and to each other in the present,” said Edwards
