This week’s book recommendation comes from a recent addition to the North-East Branch’s team. Zoe Marinovich started working at the library in May as an Assistant Librarian.

Zoe chose “Plant, Cook, Eat! A Children’s Cookbook” by Joe Archer and Caroline Craig.

“Are you growing a vegetable garden? Would you like to learn how? Or would you simply like to try some nourishing, child-friendly recipes using store bought produce?” Zoe asked. “This book has you covered! “Plant, Cook, Eat!” is filled with colorful photographs, horticultural wisdom, and nutritious recipes for the whole family to enjoy together. Though the book is designed for children, people of all ages will learn something new about topics that range from composting to the nutritional benefits of common vegetables.”

Physical copies available at most Kansas City Public Library locations.
