First KC City Council of 2019
Kansas City councilmembers will be meeting Thursday, January 10 at 3pm for the first City Council meeting of 2019. This docket will hold the much-anticipated Paseo name change item. The meeting will be held at City Hall (414 E 12th St.) on the 26th floor in the Council Chambers. All meetings are open to the public.

Arty Party Happy Hour
Are you an Artist, Creative, Musician, Hobbyist, Poet, or Dabbler Extraordinaire in the arts? Come join us at the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce for our “Arty Party Happy Hour” informal get together! We invite Chamber members and area Artists alike for a party in The EGG Business Incubator & Gallery space located at 2659 Independence Ave., KCMO 64124 on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Appetizers, beer, wine and good company to be had! Bring your business cards, show and tell, an instrument or two, and a story and meet some old and new ARTrapreneurs like yourself. The Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and Northeast Arts KC wants to meet YOU and share what we can do to support our area artists, their art, and the Historic Northeast.

Lykins Neighborhood Meeting
Lykins Neighborhood Association will be holding it’s first meeting of 2019 on Monday, January 14 at 7pm at 3700 E 12th St.

Women’s Health Tabling at North-East Library
January is women’s health month! Please stop by the Health and Wellness Table at the North-East Branch (6000 Wilson Rd) from 1-4 pm and visit with a representative from Planned Parenthood to learn about all that they offer for women and their reproductive health. You will also have an opportunity to meet your Health and Wellness Librarian and discover the Free health wellness programming available at your library.

The Mayoral Candidate Forum
Join the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce at “The Mayoral Candidate Forum” on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Northeast High School located at 415 Van Brunt, Kansas City, MO 64124 as candidates for the upcoming Kansas City Mayoral election engage with the public! The forum will be broadcast LIVE on 100.1 FM as well as www.OneKCRadio.org, and is the perfect opportunity for all Mayoral Candidates to engage with our community and get feedback on the challenges and concerns facing our neighborhoods. The event is free and open to the public. Questions at the forum are encourage. Be part of the progress of our city and let your voice be heard!
