HEDC 20th Anniversary

HEDC (Hispanic Economic Development Corporation) will celebrate its 20th Anniversary at 28 Event Space, 1300 W. 28th St., Kansas City, Mo. At 5:30 p.m. there will be networking, and small plates and cocktails will be served. At 7 p.m. the program will begin, including an awards presentation. Don Bosco Bingo

Northeast Ribbon Cutting

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for La Flor de Chiapas Restaurante Mexicano, 3253 Independence Ave., Kansas City, Mo., from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. All are invited to join the celebration.

Tuesday, November 19

East Patrol Zone Campus Groundbreaking

The community is invited to attend the official groundbreaking ceremony for the East Patrol Division Station and Crime Lab Campus at 10 a.m. near the corner of 26th and Prospect. KCPD and city officials will join community leaders in turning the first shovels of dirt as the official construction phase begins. Refreshments will be provided.

Kansas City Museum Community Curator Series

The Kansas City Museum will host a Community Curator Series on their newest exhibit at Corinthian Hall: “Music is My First Love.” Gene T. Chavez, curator of the exhibit, will give the presentation. The event will be held Nov. 19. A reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone, Blvd. In addition to the presentation, attendees will be able to tour the exhibit. All are welcome to this free event.

All You Can Eat Chili

Blue Valley Kiwanis Club will host an All You Can Eat Chili Day on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Blue Valley Salvation Army building, 6618 Truman Rd., Kansas City, Mo. Cost is $7 and includes dessert and a drink. Take-out is available. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Historic Northeast charities.
