Ribbon Cutting and Chamber After Hours
The Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for Paul Samuel Franco’s law office at 4519 Independence, Ave., Kansas City, Mo. Following the ribbon cutting, the chamber will host an after hours event at the law office complete with refreshments and door prizes. All are invited to attend. The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Bingo at Don Bosco Senior Center
Glennon Place Nursing Center will sponsor an afternoon of bingo and prizes from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Don Bosco Senior Center, 580 Campbell St., Kansas City, Mo.

Drug Take-Back Day
The 2013 Spring Drug Take-Back event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maincor offices, 3215 Main, Kansas City, Mo. Disposed of unwanted and outdated prescription and over-the-counter drugs with no questions asked.

 

Day of the Family/Bike Safety Rodeo
Mattie Rhodes Community Center has partnered with the Mexican Consulate to host Day of the Family and Bike Safety Rodeo. The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the athletic fields at 9th and Van Brunt. Activities will include bike safety, health screenings, bicycle raffles for children, a variety of booths, Clown Zapaton and more.

 

6th Annual Chalk Walk in Northeast
Historic Northeast’s 6th Annual Chalk Walk will be held April 27-28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Concourse at Kessler Park, 200 Benton Blvd., Kansas City, Mo.

PAL Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Police Athletic League Center (PAL) will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the center’s new youth 000football field on May 1 at 3 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the center, 1801 White, Kansas City, Mo. Refreshments will follow the ribbon cutting.

 

Neighborhood Progressive Dinner
The Scarritt Rennaissance Neighborhood will host a progressive dinner May 4 at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $5 and excess funds will go toward the purchase of roses and berries bushes to plant as crime deterrents behind the Colonnade at The Concourse.
