Alexander Gregory Thirstrup, Sr., 30, passed away on December 25, 2020 in Lee’s Summit, MO.

Alex was born on August 12, 1990 in Northeast Kansas City, MO, the son of Brandi Thirstrup-Davis and Victor Hernandez, Jr. He attended Whatsoever Community Center, Fairmount Elementary, Nowlin Middle School and Belton High School, class of 2009. For the past 9 years, he was a die-cutter and multiple machine operator for Post Press Specialties.

Above all else, Alex was a family man first. He worked extremely hard to ensure his children were loved and cared for. He and his mother had an unconditional and unbreakable bond and were very close. He co-parented with the mother of his children whom he still loved and cared for deeply, Brandy Alvis. He was fiercely loyal to those he loved, and enjoyed spending time with his children and family. He attended every family gathering if he was able. He was the life of the party always! He enjoyed fishing, camping, making memories at his great grandparents cabin at Lake Pomme de Terre in Hermitage, MO., playing basketball and video games with friends and was a diehard Chiefs fan!

Alex was happiest when those around him were happy. He would brighten up a room with his crystal blue eyes, silly jokes and dance moves. Although his life ended way too soon, the memories he made and the light he created in so many lives will be his indelible legacy right along with his beautiful children!
