Northeast News
January 2, 2013

It’s 2013 and this snow-covered Newshound couldn’t be happier to see 2012 ushered out the door. We here at the House of News are extremely excited about the upcoming year and some of the special projects we’ve got in the works right now.

The big news is that later this spring, we’ll be releasing a new book by our award-winning outdoors writer Kenneth Kieser entitled: “Missouri’s Great Flood of 1993,” which revisits an epic natural disaster. Covering the Missouri River flood from the Iowa-Missouri line to where the mighty river converges with the Mississippi River in St. Louis, the book will be full of pictures and stories of not only how the flood occurred, but stories of survival and coming back after the disaster.

We’ll also be making some changes to how you see our product, both online and in our print edition. All in all, 2013 promises to be an exciting one for our team here at the Northeast News. We’re extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve Kansas City’s Historic Northeast community.
