Julia Alice “Judy” Anderson died May 20, 2011, at her home in Kansas City, Mo., with her lifetime companions Alexis and Honey at her bedside. A graveside service was held May 24 at Our Redeemer Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.

She was the only child born to the late Rev. Carl and Margaret Sexton Anderson of Karnak, Ill. Judy worked as a respiratory therapist at North Kansas City Hospital and was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Kansas City, Mo. Judy was an avid traveler to the UK, reader, family researcher and trout fisher.

She is survived by her sister, Carol Lee Oliver Werth (Jim) of Littleton, Colo.; neice, Julie Ann Kee Chapman and her sons Nolan and Mason, all of Warrensburg, Mo.; an aunt, Helen Anderson of Bethalto, Ill.; adopted mother, Bonnie Haupt (Brian) of Springhill, Kan.; cousins and friends.

Memorials are suggested to Wayside Waifs or The Employee Support Program of the Department of Respiratory Care at North Kansas City Hospital, from which she benefitted after her successful breast cancer treatment 10 years ago.
