The Kansas City Museum celebrated the season on Friday, December 2 with its annual holiday party. The event featured a slew of rousing musical performances, the unveiling of this year’s Fairy Princesses (including the winners of the Halloween fairy princess costume contest), and a celebration of holiday season with members of the community. Above: After descending the main staircase of the Kansas City Museum’s mansion, this year’s Fairy Princesses stopped for a photo with Carol Jean Barta, the oldest living Fairy Princess. Barta was a Fairy Princess at Cline’s Department Story – where the tradition began – back in 1956.
