KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The Kansas City Museum’s (3218 Gladstone) Día de los Muertos celebration on Sunday, October 23 drew hundreds of area residents for an afternoon of live music, arts and crafts, face painting, and more.

Attendees enjoyed live music courtesy of Mundo Nouvo, as well as puppetry performed by StoneLion Puppet Theatre. The museum also set up yard games and encouraged attendees to decorate sugar skulls, make tissue flowers, and sample traditional Día de los Muertos bread from Panaderia de las Americas. Face painting was offered by Sister Act Face Painting between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.

The program was free for all ages, and was presented in partnership with the Mattie Rhodes Center.
