KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Construction work along I-435 is nearing completion.

Between 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22 and 5:00 a.m. on Friday, September 23, the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) closed various northbound lanes on I-435 between Route 40 and Route 24 for pavement marking and guardrail installation. According to a news release sent by MoDOT Senior Communications Specialist Kerri Lewis, further work will continue along I-435 until Wednesday, September 28.

Workers will begin installing rumble strips requiring a single lane closure with a moving operation from Route 40 to the Missouri River Bridge from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24. Remaining bridge work on I-435 includes closing the left lane of northbound I-435 at 23rd Street from 5:00 a.m. on Monday, September 26 through the end of day on Wednesday, September 28 for additional concrete work on the bridge.

The MoDOT press release also reminds motorists to slow down and pay attention as they drive past work zones.
