Demolition work at the old Manchester School on Truman Road began in late June, and after several weeks of work, the blighted structure has now been almost completely leveled. Manchester was targeted by the city as a dangerous building and was included among 800 such structures expected to be demolished over the course of the next two years. KCMO officials announced the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan on June 2, which earmarked $10 million for dangerous building demolition.
