Independence and Benton groundbreaking set for April 28

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The planned makeover for the intersection of Independence Ave. and Benton Blvd. will officially begin on Thursday, April 28, with a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled at 11:00 a.m. at the NE corner of the intersection.

The reconstruction of the intersection will include a new traffic signal, additional street lighting, pedestrian lighting, pavement markings, rain gardens, sidewalks, and landscaping, among other site amenities.
