KANSAS CITY, Missouri — If you’re going to ride your bicycle while wearing turn-of-the-century attire, what better place in Kansas City than to do it in the Historic Northeast?

In the spirit of “The Golden Age of Bicycles”, BikeWalkKC hosted its annual Kansas City Tweed Ride last weekend in the Northeast area, starting at The Colonnade and riding through Cliff Drive before ending at the Kansas City Museum. The event – which brought roughly 60 cyclists to the Northeast – offered riders an afternoon of sophisticated social revelry upon the most marvelous machines ever devised by man.

The five mile, casual ride brought out families in their classic attire. At the end of the ride, there were competitions held for Best Dressed Man and Woman, Best Bicycle and Best Facial Hair.
