KANSAS CITY, Missouri — To show the community how much they care, the Salvation Army is throwing a party for everyone in the neighborhood this weekend.

This neighborhood celebration takes place from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at the Northeast location, 3013 E. Ninth St. Major Colleen Michaud, explains the Salvation Army is hosting the party to help sell its services to the community. Activities planned for the event include: basketball games, photo booths, arts and crafts, face painting, a strong man competition and more. The event is free to attend and everyone in the community is invited.

The Salvation Army will also host a mobile clinic during the party. Michaud said the Salvation Army hopes at least 300 people attend the event.
