KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Kansas City residents will soon have to pay more to use animal shelter services.

At last week’s city council meeting, the council authorized the increase of fees assessed to residents for the use of animal adoption and drop-off services at Kansas City’s Animal Shelter. The fee increase is the city’s first fee adjustment since 2006, and will provide additional funding to the city-owned animal shelter for the care of neglected animals. A complete list of fees can be found online at http://cityclerk.kcmo.org/LiveWeb/Documents/Document.aspx?q=okVI9ivbCPxRYSOoPosksU0QsupdmZvr5%2fGxiRzPN5Az55dain24sFrMtxkurzam.
