KANSAS CITY, Missouri — When the streets of the Northeast become inundated with cyclists this weekend, it’ll be helpful to know how to avoid getting in their way.

The Cliff Drive Circuit Race is once again part of the Tour of Kansas City and for 2015, the race finish has been moved to the top of Gooseneck Hill. The three mile circuit course runs through parkland, forest, and alongside towering cliffs. Races take place Friday evening and all day Saturday, May 29 and 30.

Race Route
The races start at the intersection of Walrond Avenue, Gladstone Boulevard, and Cliff Drive Access Road in. All 750 riders and runners will head south on N. Gladstone Boulevard to the traffic circle and head west on St. John Avenue, which then turns south and becomes Bellefontaine Avenue. The course then turns west onto LaBelle Drive and another immediate west turn onto Lexington Avenue., north on Prospect Avenue, north on E. Resevoir Drive, west onto E. Lookout Point Drive and northwest onto the Cliff Drive Scenic Byway. When the course reaches Cliff Drive Access Road, the course goes up the hill northwest back to the start/finish area at the Kansas City Museum.

Road Closures
From 9 a.m. Saturday, May 30, until around 9 a.m. Sunday, May 31, the following streets will be closed for the race: portions of Cliff Drive, Lexington Avenue, Lebelle Drive, Bellefontaine Avenue, St. John Avenue, Gladstone Boulevard, Reservoir Drive, Lookout Point Drive, Walrond Avenue, and Cliff Drive Access. East and West Cliff Drive entrance gates will be closed and locked (as they usually are on weekends).
