KANSAS CITY, Missouri — If you’ve lived in Historic Northeast for any amount of time, you know that around the first weekend in May, the smell of something delicious starts to waft from the American Sons of Columbus building on Independence Boulevard. It’s the time of year that the Sons and Daughters of Columbus host their annual spaghetti dinner. The event is an opportunity to dine on some of the finest Italian fare this side of Main Street. This year’s dinner was a resounding success according to one of the organizers, Gino Corte. The annual event is one of the primary fundraisers for the group’s scholarship program.
