KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Industrial Development Authority of Kansas City has issued a public hearing notice in regards to the proposed plan of financing Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds, series 2015, to Trinity Affordable Section 8 Assisted Apartment Project in the Northeast area.

The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, in the conference room of the IDA’s office, 20 E. Fifth St. According to the notice, the bond amount is no more than $25 million, with a portion of the proceeds of the sales bond — no more than $10 million — expected to be used to make a loan to Trinity-Northeast View to finance and/or refinance the acquisition, rehabilitation, equipping and/or improvement of Northeast View Apartments.

Northeast View Apartments has a total of 137 units, 136 of which are Section 8 assisted living units.

The Bonds are expected to be issued and will be limited obligations. However, Alfred J. Figuly, Executive Director The Industrial Development Authority, said Trinity Affordable Housing Corporation, an Illinois nonprofit corporation, has not yet received the bonds. Figuly noted company officials will be at the hearing to answer any questions.

The hearing will be open to the public. All interested may attend the hearing and will have an opportunity to express their views, including the location and nature of the proposed facility and the issuance of bonds to pay the costs thereof. Written comments with respect to the project may also be submitted. Additional information regarding the proposed project and the bond issue may be obtained in advance of the hearing by calling 816-474-2227.
