Kansas City Museum

Book of Revelation explained

For 12 weeks, beginning Wednesday, March 18, Dr. George Westlake Jr., Pastor Emeritus of the Sheffield Family Life Center, 5700 Winner Road, will be teaching the book of Revelations during Family night at the center. The classes run from 7 – 8:30 p.m. and feature services and programs for every member of the family.

Getting back to Better

Chronic Disease Management Workshop. Open to all adults and free of charge. This workshop would benefit you if you have been diagnosed with a chronic disease, are living with someone with a chronic disease, or taking care of someone with a chronic disease. Workshop begins at 12:30 p.m.

Join North-East Public Library for its weekly story time and craft at 10:30 a.m. with a special Easter egg hunt following the story.

All you can eat shrimp dinner

The Hibernians are sponsoring an all you can eat shrimp dinner every Friday in Lent, beginning Friday. The dinner will take place form 5 – 7:30 p.m. at the Redemptorist Cafeteria, 3333 Broadway Blvd. Admission is $14 for adults and $6 for children.

Communiversity Spanish Class

Join the North-East Library at 10 a.m. to learn to speak conversational Spanish.

Computer Class

Learn about navigating your computer in this class, which offers insight into hardware and software components. Class begins at 10:30 a.m. at the North-East Public Library.

Pendleton Heights Easter egg hunt

The Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association will host its third annual Easter egg hunt from 10: 30 a.m. – noon on Saturday, April 4, in Kessler Park near the basketball courts. Join for egg hunting with colorful eggs and joyful kids.

Team Up to Clean Up

From 8 a.m. – noon Saturday, April 4, compactor trucks will be located at Concourse and Budd Parks to collect trash, yard waste and bulky items. A trailer for tire disposal will also be available at Concourse Park. Trash disposal is free to residents of the Northeast and Kansas City, Mo.

The Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood Association monthly meeting will meet from 6:30 – 8:30 Monday, April 6, at the Kansas City Museum.

Attention all fans of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid! North-East Public Library will host a book club at the library at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 8. Attendees will read from the book, act out scenes, create crafts and play games.
