Wimpy Kid Club

Attention all fans of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid! North-East Public Library will host a book club at the library at 5 p.m. Attendees will read from the book, act out scenes, create crafts and play games.

Join North-East Public Library for its weekly story time and craft at 10:30 a.m. Parents and kids will enjoy stories geared toward toddlers and pre-schoolers. Get ready for songs, tongue twisters and dramatic play.

Computer Class

Sign up for a free e-mail account and follow along with this tutorial that teaches the ins and outs of sending and receiving email, as well as how to organize your messages. Class begins at 10:30 a.m. at the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd.

Lykins Neighborhood Association meeting

The Lykins Neighborhood Association will meet from 7 – 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Eleos Coffee House, 3401 E Independence Ave. The association will review crime and grime, organize neighborhood cleanups and focus on creating a better community in Lykins neighborhood. Other neighborhood members in the Historic Northeast are more than welcome to join.

Indian Mound Neighborhood Association meeting

The Indian Mound Neighborhood Association will host its next monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at a location to be determined.

Master plan discussion

Join the Kansas City Public School officials as they present their findings and unveils scenarios for community consideration following feedback received from more than 1200 parents, students, staff and community members for the development of the KCPS master plan. The discussion will be held from 1 – 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Northeast Middle School, 4909 Independence Ave.
