KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Kansas City, Mo. Health Department will join the Children’s Mercy Hospital to welcome the Missouri Children’s Services Commission Subcommittee on Childhood Obesity to Kansas City.

The group will host a public forum on prevention and treatment policies from 4 – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Health Department, 2400 Troost Ave., in the multipurpose room.

The forum will include a presentation and discussion about potential policy actions to improve prevention and treatment of childhood obesity in Missouri. The subcommittee will seek advice and guidance from the public as it prepares policy recommendations for consideration by the Missouri Legislature.
