Thacher-A-Thon postponed

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The upcoming event to raise awareness to save the former Thacher Elementary school has been temporarily postponed.

Planned for Saturday, June 7, the Thacher-A-Thon and walk-a-thon raise awareness for the former school, is being postponed to a yet-to-be determined date. The organizing committee said they need more time to properly plan the event. The idea behind the event is a walk in the neighborhood of Thacher Elementary, 5008 Independence Ave., with walkers ending on the school grounds.

More information will be posted about the event as it becomes available.
