A Toyota SUV slid on ice on Independence Avenue earlier this afternoon, damaging the bus stop on Independence Avenue near Topping.

No injuries were reported in the one-vehicle accident. The vehicle knocked out a panel of plexiglass at the bus stop and also knocked over a cement trash barrel. Damage to the vehicle appeared to be concentrated mostly on the bumper.
