Mid-America Regional Council will host a public meeting Thursday, Nov. 7, to review the policy framework of Transportation Outlook 2040, the Metropolitan Transportation Plan for the Kansas City region. MARC updates this long-range plan every five years.

Area residents will have the opportunity to review the nine goals in the plan — which ultimately guide how transportation funds are spent in the Kansas City region — and current progress towards those goals. Join group discussions and see displays about the plan, then share your ideas on what the plan should include.

Meeting details:
When:   Thursday, Nov. 7
3:30–6 p.m., with presentations at 4 and 5:15 p.m.
Where: Mid-America Regional Council, 600 Broadway, Suite 200, Kansas City, MO 64105

You may also submit your ideas by email to transportation@marc.org (please include TO2040 in the subject).
Transportation Outlook 2040 captures the vision for long-range transportation strategies and investments, defines ways to implement plans and sets the standard for projects that seek federal transportation funds. The plan update is a 14-month process coordinating with area planners, elected officials, agencies and citizen input to establish a vision for what the region will look like and what should be important for the region over the next three decades.
