Grace Church of the Nazarene, 4300 Independence Ave., celebrates its 90th anniversary Oct. 25 with a grand opening of its community front porch. The event included a variety of worship bands and choirs along with refreshments.  Grace tore down part of the fellowship hall, which had fallen into disrepair, to create the “front porch.” “As (Pastor) Tammy and I were reflecting on the space the other day, we realized probably half the churches in the world worship in places like this outside, without a church building,” Grace Church Pastor Joey Condon said during the event, adding that the neighborhood is home to a variety of cultures.
