The Kansas City Museum counted about 5,000 youngsters at the annual Scare-It Halloween event in the Scarritt Renaissance neighborhood. In addition to trick-or-treating at safe houses, youngsters bounced around in inflatables, competed in the museum’s Fairy Princess Costume Contest and were greeted by the Ghostbusters. A new addition to this year’s event was a haunted house created by Scarritt resident Scott “Rex” Hobart. The haunted house, pictured below, featured spooky music and plenty of spiders.
