Wimpy Kid Club
Come and celebrate your favorite series at the North-East Public Library at 5 p.m. The Wimpy Kid Club is open to ages 8 to 12 and activities will include reading from the book, acting out scenes, craft time and playing games.

La Chalupa Farmer’s Market
Mattie Rhodes’ La Chalupa’s Farmer’s Market, 148 N. Topping, is open for the season and will be held every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy fresh eggs, vegetables, fruit, baked goods and more. SNAP/EBT is accepted.

Story Time and Craft
Join North-East Public Library for its weekly story time and craft at 10:30 a.m. Parents and kids will enjoy stories geared toward toddlers and pre-schoolers. Get ready for songs, tongue twisters and dramatic play. This week’s theme is “Mud and Worms.”

KC NoVA Focus Group
The Kansas City No Violence Alliance (KC NoVA) will host a focus group meeting from 9 a.m. to noon at the Rockhurst Community Center, 5401 Troost, to target grass root organizations and neighborhood associations. The meeting will discuss how KC NoVA can fit into your community. Community feedback is welcome and will be recorded. Please RSVP to Detective Tiffany Gillespie at Tiffany.gillespie@kcpd.org. A continental breakfast will be provided.
Horses in the Community Event
The Horses in the Community Event will be held at 29th Street and Park Avenue from noon to 4 p.m. There will be horse ride demonstrations, face painting, child safety courses, like what to do during an emergency and calling 9-1-1. KCPD Mounted Patrol, the Kansas City Fire Department and Animal Control will also be in attendance. The event will also include raffles and free food. All are welcome to attend this free event.

Falun Dafa
Join North-East Public Library for a session of Falun Dafa at 5:15 p.m. Falun Dafa is a traditional self-cultivation practice to improve mind and body. The session will be held every Tuesday evening.

KC Museum Summer Concert Series
The next concert in the Kansas City Museum’s Summer Concert Series will be held at 7 p.m. July 12 at the museum. Gentleman Savage, a psychedelic pop music group, will perform. Cost is free.
KC Museum Kids Summer Drop-ins
This summer, drop in with your kids for games, music, stories and arts and crafts. Each drop-in will feature a different historical theme. The first set of summer drop-ins will be held on July 10 and 12 from noon to 3 p.m. Cost is free. Summer Drop-ins will be held every Wednesday and Friday in July and August at the Kansas City Museum.
