Clean-up-4

More than 100 volunteers flocked to the Independence Avenue Community Improvement District (CID) community cleanup May 18. Pickup trucks and vans lined up along Budd Park and at The Concourse to drop off loads of trash, and Northeast residents picked up litter around their neighborhoods.

In addition, area volunteers beautified Independence Avenue by planting black-eyed Susans and daisies in the raised beds along the sidewalk  to complement the Irises that were planted last year.
