Northeast News Publisher and local historian Michael Bushnell will give a postcard tour May 5 of a bygone era that offers views of Independence Boulevard (Kansas City’s first boulevard) and the rugged beauty of the city’s only urban scenic byway, Cliff Drive.
Other featured spots will include The Concourse, the Kansas City Museum and breathtaking vistas across the Missouri River Valley. The presentation will begin at 2 p.m. at the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd., Kansas City, Mo.
The presentation complements the exhibit “Greetings from Kansas City: A Postcard View of a Midwest Metropolis, 1900-1950,” on display at the Central Library through May 31, 2013.
