St. Patrick’s Day parades close roads this weekend

Two major St. Patrick’s Day parades in Kansas City will cause potential delays for drivers this weekend.

The Brookside St. Patrick’s Day Warm-Up Parade will take place Saturday, March 16 from 2-4 p.m. The parade starts at 65th Street and Wornall Road, which will close to 63rd Street. Other road closures include 63rd Street from Wornall Road to Main Street; Main Street from 63rd Street to Meyer Boulevard; and Meyer Boulevard from Main Street to Brookside Road.

The Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade runs on Sunday, March 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The parade route extends along Broadway Street from 31st to 43rd streets. Marchers will gather along Broadway Street from 31st to 33rd streets and along 33rd Street from Main Street to Pennsylvania Avenue.
