Askew Inn will be transformed into Mardi Gras central Tuesday, Feb. 12, as part of the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Beads, Beans and Beers fundraiser.

Proceeds will go toward the chamber’s party tour bus for Northeast events.

Advance tickets are $10 and include a shiny set of beads, red beans, rice and one beer. Tickets at the door are $15.

Instead of a silent auction, the chamber will have raffle giveaways and the traditional live auction which begins at 8 p.m.

Attendees can also compete for prizes in the best dressed king and queen costume contest and best mask contest.

It all begins at 5 p.m. at Askew Inn, 3600 Independence Ave., and lasts until 10 p.m.

To purchase advance tickets, call (816) 231-3312 or email
